Addiction
Serious post title for a serious problem. I am addicted to facebook. A friend sent me an invite and I put off joining, thinking I didn't have time. I was right. But then someone else said you can search facebook for all your friends from forever! So I'm there! I'm finding friends from high school, my cousins, tons of friends from around here. Another friends said the frenzy calms down after about three months. I hope so because I don't have time to do this but I can't stop! I love hearing from everyone (I'm sure it's because I'm naturally nosey). So hello to all my facebook friends and to those of you who already don't have time--DON'T JOIN!!!!

Ok, now I'm going to find you. :) Yeah- it's worse than myspace.
I've heard facebook can be quite addicting. Andrew set up an account and has gotten in touch with alot of old friends from his mission. I'll make sure I stay far away - that's the last thing I need right now!!
A serious question I ask myself is do I want to be in touch with all these people? Mostly, yes. I guess Andrew didn't want to be dragged through the Rancho gutter one more time because he didn't put that in his profile:) Smart.
It will wear off, promise. But, isn't it fun?!? I'm in touch with so many fun people from my past that I probably would never have talked to again in my life-- and I'm really glad that I am now. Everyone should get a profile! :)
I love facebook. It will calm down too, don't worry. After the initial frenzy, you don't even have to check until your email says you have something, or you have some picture or news you want to post. I think it is fun.
Melissa--what is your facebook thingamabob? I want to see all your friends. --Andrew
I was that way too when I first got on Facebook but the newness has worn off and I hardly get on ever, it's only when I get friend requests really. No time! It's fun to be in touch with people you didn't ever imagine hearing from again isn't it! It's really cool what technology can do...
Thanks for the warning...I think I'll refrain!
you are welcome! I love it too! But the obsession does stop if you pick up a good book!
Good to read about the perkins and their many adventures. I WON'T be joining facebook as I have a very addictive personality. I got on LinkedIn on Friday and have messed with it non-stop. At least I can say that that site is for business. Good to hear from all of you.
