Fear Has Made Up My Mind . . .McCain it is. (warning! soapbox)
It's not that I think John McCain is The Best. It's that I am afraid of the good old U.S. of A. becoming socialist (Obama). TurboTax says the average charitable contribution is 10% yearly. So if those of us who do pay taxes are already giving that much (and that is only what is quantifiable and verifiable) then why do those who don't pay taxes need so much more? America was built on the backs of hard workers. If we put more socialist programs in place now, imagine how much worse the discrepancy will be for our children between the workers and the losers. Go capitalism and laissez faire!!!

I understand your pain. It isn't that I voted for McCain, (although I'm great with Palin), it is that I voted against socialism (Obama). Sorry we even had to make such a horrible choice --- but now I just can't wait for it to be done with.

I got that same cartoon in an email the other day. I can't wait for all of this to be over either, even though it seems the press have already declared a winner.
I was so optimistic at the beginning of the primaries that we finally wouldn't have to vote for the lesser of two evils. That's not the case now. I'm afraid we're in the minority though.
I tried to vote for Nader as a tantrum vote. Utah's electoral college votes are going to McCain anyway.
As soon as I saw that X next to Nader's name I felt yucky. I voted for the democrat (McCain) instead of the Marxist.
The only radio frequency I can listen to in Brigham City is NPR, so I've come to terms with NObama winning for months now.
What a depressing election cycle.
Amen sister! Big soapbox for me too, I'll be glad when we can all move along, although the future seems so scary to me but I guess I'm not the only one feeling that way.
