Pictures of Caroline

by Becky Eastman

This is the first of four posts, each one dedicated to pictures of just one of my beautiful girls. The first is to Caroline. Sometimes she gets over looked because she is the best behaved. Some of you might be remembering a few posts ago about a certain behavior that wasn't becoming, but mostly, if you ask her to do something, she does it - and without complaint. Mostly.
I swore when Caroline was born that I would not make her one of those youngest children who are helpless and spoiled (no offense to any of my friends who are youngest children, you obviously learned). But in trying to accomplish that, I often forget how young she really is. And in fact, I think I have made my oldest spoiled and helpless.
One of her talents is memory. She has a pretty decent voice for singing but the amazing part is how she can remember the words so well after hearing the song only a few times. They usually put her in the front at the preschool programs because of that, but at Christmas it backfired because she picked her nose and wiped it on her dress in the middle of a song:) Also, the kids have like 50 Littlest Pet animals and who knows how many stuffed animals, all with names. Caroline can remember ALL of them.
Another is being helpful. She is pretty quick for a five year old to pick up her room, or do other small jobs. She also loves to help with the baby, though sometimes that's a bit scary.
Anyway, here are some pictures that I have taken of Caroline:

These were taken when the petting zoo came to the preschool and the kids dressed as cowboys.
The turkey was very loud and Caroline thought it was really funny.

Grandma Claudia gave her a fun present for her birthday - fun till you have to clean it up!
Happy 5th birthday, loved the cake.

Blowing out the candle on her birthday cake.

Hugging her "chiwala" Webkinz.

In her PJs at a park in Midland on our way home from Christmas. PJs at the park is liberating.

She wanted a different hat.

Mary. This is the third picture I took because she was throwing a very un-Mary fit in the first two.

Look for the next post: Sydney

What a sweet little girl. Now that she's not the youngest you just have to worry about that middle child syndrome. She'll be fine, most of us middle kids are! :)
