Happy (late) Valentine's Day!

We've had a very busy weekend! I thought when we moved to Phoenix that we were through with whirlwind trips to visit family. But this weekend we did in 3 days what we usually did in 3 weeks!

The whole things started when we planned a baby shower for my sister-in-law Tricia. It was a tea party that was beautiful and there were lots of darling little baby clothes. It almost made me want another baby. But I'll just hold baby Kate and enjoy.

That night we went to the strip for dinner and to see the fountains - we saw more than we were hoping to.

The next morning we drove up to Utah, stopping to have breakfast with my dad then up to Provo to see Dan's mom. The next day we visited Dan's dad who sadly can only remember things from the past, which does not really include the kids. But it was a good visit.

That evening we drove back to Vegas, stopping to have a Valentine's/Presidents Day dinner with my grandma. After we left, the kids were wishing we had a basement like hers. It's full of dolls, dress ups, and little kitchen stuff from when my mom was little. So we saw all the living grandparents expect my mom (who is on a mission in Germany) in two days!

The next day we decided to take a little longer way home and stop to see the London Bridge in Lake Havasu. It was built in 183 A.D. and it was amazing to touch a piece of history that was so old.
We finally made it back home and man was I glad I had done the dishes and vacuumed before we left! It just makes me glad for one thing less to do. Anyway, we loved everyone we saw and wished we could have seen everyone we love. But we couldn't so from our house to yours, Happy Valentine's Day and we love you!

PS - I forgot to mention that we saw our good friend Sarah from Texas who is a freshman at BYU. It was so fun to remember that distance does not stop friendship. Love you Texas friends!

Are we talking Sarah, as in Sarah Miller? Is she in college??? Oh man!!!! Has that much time gone by?

Hope AZ is treating you well!
