Maybe You Know This Trick...

We've lived in our house since September and I barely finished putting these rooms together this week. Why did it take me so long? Why now rather than later? Because Book Club was at my house tonight! That is my trick, sign up to host something at your house and all the projects that you've been meaning to get done become urgent and they get done!

And to my Texas Book Club friends, I miss you. What are you reading? What are you eating? Compared to the way you guys do things, it's pretty simple here. But yummy. Wish you were with us.

Beautiful, Melissa! My favorite part of the room is the drapes.
You have quite the knack for decorating.

Wow, I'm just the opposite. I'll consider having people over for something and decide against it because I don't want to scramble to get everything presentable!

Everything looks so amazing! and I can't believe that is simple! We don't usually even have refreshments at all. :)

Yeah! Finally! Don't let my teasing fool you. The only time my house is picture worthy is when people are coming too! Looks good so far I like the drapes. I'm not sure about the fabric but it's probably that I can't see the detail. I do like the length and how many though. I'm glad you did it that way. I like the carpet too! It makes it look warmer in there. You totally can put stuff above your cabinets. I think you've got enough room there. Mmm chocolate raspberry tarte! I'd come for that!

I like Goodnight Moon or Duck on a Bike.

Can I have some candy now?

I don't know how you do it. Four kids and not a sign of children in sight? No matter if I clean our house just before having company or not it always seems as if Hurricane Toy has struck every room and the remnants will never go away.

On a side note- I will Facebook you too- I was thinking before it gets too hot maybe we can meet up at the zoo? I would love to catch up with you and the girls and I know it isn't likely that either one of us will drive the hour for just lunch.

Your house looks amazing and is inspiring me to try and finish settling into ours as well. :)

I'm looking at your pictures again. I like the tile! I'll bet it's wonderful for wetness caused by the pool and for keeping things a little cool on hot Phoenix days.
