Our Christmas Eve tradition is pizza for dinner. This started years ago when I was little and my family was in Cedar City for Christmas. We were out doing last minute shopping and realized it was dinner time. The only thing open was Pizza Hut so that's where we ate. Thus, the pizza for dinner on Christmas Eve tradition was born. After the pizza, we opened the traditional Christmas Eve pajamas and got the kids ready for bed. Then, the best part was reading the Christmas story out of the Bible and singing Christmas songs. Of course we did have the traditional tiff over who was going to be Mary. But in the end, we remembered what Christmas is all about. After the Bible story, we spent more time reading Christmas stories (I seriously cry at the end of Polar Express every time and Dan has to finish reading the last page!) By then, it was late and the kids went to bed pretty well.

Christmas morning Sophia LOVED her new kitchen (I love Craigslist!)
The whole family got a foosball table, which they used so much the first two days that the little soccer ball broke! So meanwhile, they covered up the soccer players with plastic bin lids to use as a table for their restaurant. Girls.Christmas just kept giving because the next day my family came from Las Vegas to spend some time. We had fun going to Ikea, Joe's Farm Grill, and they ate at Chick-Fil-A THREE times!! It wasn't that there was no food here, but there isn't a Chick-Fil-A in Vegas so they had to take advantage. The weather was really nice for a few days so we were able to play at the park a lot. But today is really cold and we think we're freezing to death so we're staying inside (the high is supposed to be 47:)
Dan took Kassie to see Tron this morning - she got up early, made her bed, got dressed, fed Sophia and then came in to wake us up. She's learning the finer points of getting what you want. Sydney and Caroline and I are writing thank you notes and watching Phineas and Ferb. Then we are going to go look at pianos! I had to sell mine because b, a, and g below middle C would not stay tuned since the sound board was damaged. My dad gave me some money for Christmas so hopefully I can find a nice used piano somewhere. It's a great end to 2010! We've had a much better year this year than last year so here's to hoping 2011 is even better! Happy New Year!

Ok seriously. You are my idol, I hope you know that. But besides that, our family tradition has always been Christmas Eve pajamas too. :)
Keep posting- seeing your posts keeps me sane. I have half the kids you do, I keep telling myself if you can do it, so can I!
I'd just like to say that I ate at ChickfilA 4 times! I got an extra sandwich on our way home and I ate it for lunch the next day! When a sandwich can withstand a 7 hour car ride and still be good the next day, that's how you know your food is awesome!!! Love those cute girls!
I love Christmas eve traditions...we have a few too and they are so fun! Glad you are enjoying AZ and getting to see so much of your family, that's especially fun during the Holidays!
